About us
In Icelandic, the word fang means catch and is often used to describe “the catch of the day” or what you “catch at sea”.
Fang represents the pet food branch in a group of Icelandic producers of high-quality fish-based products from the clean waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.
Owned by Icelandic mother company Lysi hf., the world’s leading fish oil producer founded in 1938, our division consists of six separate facilities located around the southern and western coasts of Iceland.
Lysi group employs roughly 200 team members.
White Label Production
Fang offers white label production of a variety of fish-based wet foods, dried treats, oils and supplements. We develop products and recipes based on our customer’s wishes and requirements, and our knowledge and respect for our source of pure, sustainable seafood.
Focus on Sustainability
All six of our facilities are certified human-grade and adhere to MSC and ASC Chain of Custody Standards, ensuring full traceability of raw materials and production.
The Fang group has created a strong reputation in the Icelandic market, buying high-quality raw materials from both larger fisheries and producers to small boats and gutting stations all around the coast of Iceland.
We aim for full utilization of all raw materials and emphasize sustainability by focusing on the upcycling of various byproducts from local fisheries and seafood producers.
